Not a lot. It is possible to compost it, if you keep it separate from your other compost heap, let it decompose for more than a year before using, and only use on ornamental plants (nothing you yourself are going to eat). If you’re willing to try it, shredded paper or wood shavings could work just as well as cat litter, and are less poisonous to the environment. If you do use cat litter, flushing the actual poop down the toilet and bagging the used litter can cut down on waste going to the dump.
