Is there anything on earth as hot as lava?

As far as naturally occurring substances on Earth go, lava is pretty hot, running between 700-1200C, depending on the composition of the melted element that composes it. However, if you would accept something that exists, even briefly, a lightning bolt is essentially plasma-state air that for the short moment it flashes reaches temperatures of 30000C, which is more than three times as hot as the surface of the sun.
