Is there anything in the Bible about protecting the environment?

There are many passages in the Bible that talk about the preciousness and value of the earth. Some examples:

Lev. 25:23-24. The land is mine and you are but aliens and my tenants. Throughout the country that you hold as a possession, you must provide for the redemption of the land.

Revelation 11:18. The nations were angry and your wrath has come. The time has come for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great – and for destroying those who destroy the earth.

Isaiah 24:4-6 – The earth dries up and withers, the world languishes and withers, the exalted of the earth languish. The earth is defiled by its people; they have disobeyed the laws, violated the statutes and broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse consumes the earth; its people must bear their guilt. Therefore earth’s inhabitants are burned up, and very few are left.

As you can see, much of how the Bible deals with the environment relates to the consequences of not protecting the environment, possibly in order to deter treating the earth badly.

PULL OUT THE BIBLE And Explain The Whole Truth-Do not Luke Warm The Word of God please.

Here is the truth-Lev. 25:1-24-For it is written, “If you want to live securely in the land, keep my laws and obey my regulations.” Let us stop there and explain, the laws and regulations in the old testament relate to the Ten Comandments and the scarfices that had to occur for people’s sin.  So when it says you must provide redemption that is what is referring to. And of course believing and trusting in the Lord.

Revelation 11:15-18.”The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:  “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.” 16And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17saying:
“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
the One who is and who was,
because you have taken your great power
and have begun to reign. The nations were angry; and your wrath has come.  The time has come for judging the dead,
and for rewarding your servants the prophets
and your saints and those who reverence your name,
          both small and great—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”

This means that people who destory what was good, for example, sex, it is good, porn made it bad.  And people who give people false information or lead them in the wrong direction is destorying the earth, why because the earth is our place to be free from evil, bondage, lack and limitation.  And notice how it says that those who gave God the power, who gave thanks to the Lord.  That means when we as a globe, a nation, a city put our trust in the Lord, and the Lord will provide.

Isaiah 23-24-So the Lord is very upset because the sin is very great during this time.  And when it refers to this earth dries up, the reason this is happening is because of the people who are practicing things that are not of God.

It is not that because of the actions we take on the Earth entirely, it is more because of the actions we take in our hearts, minds, and souls.  The reason that things happen is because we have distanced our selfs from God and stopped believing in Christ.

The real point in the Bible was to show people of their sin and their disobedience to God Almighty.  The main purpose was not to show that people did not take care of the earth.  The results of not praising and humbling yourself to the Lord, resulting in the latter.  God made everything perfect but because of our sins, it made it bad.  The sin was disobedience to God and not believing in his Son, Jesus and placing our faith in God.  When we do not praise and give glory to God, that is when everything else started falling apart..  Which was a result in what and where and how we live now.  Not because we treated the land bad.  God can fix anything and anyone, unless those individuals do not care to believe nor want anything to do with God.  Without Almighty Awyeh in our lives then chaos will and has been happening.  I am not a preacher but the purpose of the Bible was to show us a way out of our selfish, perverted, greedy behavior by placing our faith in God.  And accepting his precious gift Jesus.

And to answer the question about the environment in the Bible, you should always care for the things you have.  Always take care of the Earth regardless, because we are made of the Earth. Remember God created us from dirt, which is from the earth.  So when we take care of our Earth we are taking care of ourselfs, but it really won’t mean a thing to God unless you praise and give him Glory, and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

God Bless you and believe in Jesus Christ and in God’s Word.

This answers many questions regarding the environment and the Bible. I see quotes have already been posted and I wanted to provide a different perspective.
