Is there any way that we can take legal action against the Japanese whalers?

Unfortunately there is a loophole in whaling legislation allowing for the harvesting of whales for scientific reasoning. This is how the Japanese avoid legal action in their whaling efforts. Crewman of the famous vessel named the Sea Shepherd, the anti-whaling ship that attempts to combat Japanese whaling efforts, are actually the ones facing legal repercussions from Japan for stealing whale meat in an effort to prove that whalers sell it on the black market.
