I NEED TO FIND A GOOD ANSWER BECAUSE THE TREE IS HEADED UNDER MY HOUSE
I have found many sources that reassure homeowners that tree roots cannot push through foundations. Small roots may pass through existing cracks and roots may draw moisture from the soil which can in extreme situations cause damage to foundations, but it appears that the consensus is that roots are not capable of penetrating foundations in the same way they can, say, sidewalks.
If you are truly concerned, I would call a local tree specialist to come take a look at your tree. In the end, there is always the possibility of trimming the root of the tree.
