Well, we get just about every type of energy from the sun. The sun feeds plants. Plants feed animals. We eat plants and animals. In fact, the only form of life which derives its energy from a source other than the sun are certain species of deep sea algae, which sustain themselves by harnessing the energy from deep-sea thermal vents.
Wind power is derived from heat differentials that alter air pressure, the heating comes from the sun. Even burning coal or oil is burning organic matter that stored energy it had gained from the sun, or eating things that had stored energy from the sun. The only power sources humans use that aren’t tied to the sun are geothermal and nuclear power.
