There is no obvious difference in nutrition between red, pink and yellow varieties. Although, the pink and red contains higher levels of the antioxidant lycopene. Otherwise grapefruit is an excellent source of of vitamin C and narangin, which are the bioflavenoids in grapefruit that gives its distinctive taste and have been found to play a huge role in treating cancer, heart disease, hypertension, circulation and Alzheimers disease.
