If you want to save money you can wash the plastic spoon and reuse it. However, if you want a spoon to last longer, I would advise just buying a metal spoon, as those are obviously much hardier and longer lasting than plastic. In addition to breaking easier, plastic spoons tend to wear down after awhile. University of Nebraska scientists confirm that overuse of plastic cutlery could lead to degradation and collection of bacteria in crevices, so it is safer to use metal spoons too.
