It is actually pretty widely known that the surface temperature of Antarctica is rising. The change was first noticed in the 1950’s and the temperature has steadily been on the rise. All along the continental margins of Antarctica, the temperature has risen fairly steadily over the past 40 years. However, there are a few small segments of the continent that have actually cooled a bit over the years. These sections of cooling are definitely outliers in the scheme of the continents temperature because the majority of Antarctica is in fact warming up.
