Is sweet gum a gymnosperm?

For those who don’t know, a gymnosperm is a vascular plant that reproduces by means of an exposed speed, or ovule. A sweetgum tree, however, has a flowering plant which is called an angiosperm. This means reproduction takes place through pollination, not through seeds.
