I don’t know if you can say that one pollutant is better or worse than another. CO2 and SO2 both have devastating effects on the environment. Sulfur Dioxide is extremely dangerous to people with breathing difficulties. It also causes reduced visibility in the environment. When it reacts with nitrogen and other substance in the air, SO2 forms acid rain which can be detrimental to the environment and crops. So while sulfur dioxide isn’t necessarily better or worse than the environment than CO2, it does have its own environmental costs.
