Not necessarily, since there is far more carbon dioxide production, C02 poses a much larger problem. However, sulfur dioxide is mainly produced by smoke stacks (and is also the cause of acid rain. Ironically sulfur dioxide is produced when processing coal and fosill fuels to make oil.
