Is Subway closer to being a green restaurant than other fast food places because they use more fresh ingredients and don’t fry anything?

I know there are fast food restaurants at least in the greater-Boston area that are greener than Subway is. Subway can hope to become a more health-ful restaurant but there is far more commitments that they will have to make in order to be green. Boloco, a New England-based burrito company, composts all of their eating materials in the restaurant. That leaves little or no trash that ultimately gets thrown out. Most of their eating materials are biodegradable. They get their meat from natural farmers and all their meat is naturally raised and have many fresh ingredients. They are more of a model for being green on a small scale than Subway is.
