Should the US hold its companies accountable in other countries they do business in?

Yes, in my opinion they should. It does not make sense to behave worse while conducting business in another country than they would in their own. Also, if they are doing business outside of the United States, companies should still be held to a certain wage lower limit, as opposed to only a small amount above the typical wage in the country. Any US company doing business outside of the US should be held to the same environmental regulations as in the US. To do otherwise would be to allow them to pollute a country they are a visitor in and do damage that the US is trying to help to prevent.
