Air travel is definitely a big cause of emissions, but it is often neccessary to people’s lives or to their work. Some things to consider when booking a flight is taking a direct flight, rather than makinf stops in route, which uses more fuel. Also find an airline that uses newer models of planes, which have better fuel economy than older ones. Daytime flights are also a better choice, because the contrails offset the heat trap effect by radiating light away from the sun during the day. You should also pack as lightly as possible! Also consider purchasing carbon offsets and always choose economy class, because then the plane can carry more people and the less fuel is burned per passanger making it a more sustainable plane ride.
