Personally, I think that renewable energy projects in desert tortoise habitat should be put on hold until the numbers become stable, or the projects should be moved to a different location where endangered species will not be harmed. The increase in humans and infrastructure, in addition to an increase in raven numbers, have all contributed to a decrease in the tortoise population recently, and unless something changes drastically, their numbers will continue to go down.
