According to americanpregnancy.org raw shellfish should be avoided altogether. “The majority of seafood-borne illness is caused by undercooked shellfish, which include oysters, clams, and mussels.” I would not take the chance, especially if you are pregnancy. Risk is much greater than the reward.
While the majority of seafood-borne illness does come undercooked shellfish, which provides a risk, some sources say there is not necessarily an added risk to pregnancy. However, illnesses such as hepatitis can be transferred via shellfish, making the consumption of it during pregnancy a definite risk. I would tend to agree with the above answer – perhaps greater risk than reward.
Well you should always consult with a doctor or dietologist.
