I certainly think so. So of my best experiences as a child was playing in the woods with my brothers and sisters, catching tadpoles and watching them grow into frogs, and following streams as far as I could. Like many other environmentalist, such as E.O. Wilson and Henry David Thoreau, I attribute these experiences with instilling a great love for and connection to natural world that kids today rarely get. No video game or computer program or even a good old book can replace with feeling the wind on your face, the leaves beneath your feet, and the sounds of birds and insects all around.
