I have a stayman winesap apple tree and some apples are falling off the tree. Should I pick the apples that are left on the tree now (7-8-10) or wait a bit longer?
It seems like the Staymen Winesap apples should be picked in the late fall or early winter, around October. I’m not sure why your apples are falling off now (it might be because you’re in a different climate), but if the apples can be twisted off the tree easily, then I suppose you can pick them now.
