Yes. It has been projected that the Port of Seattle’s Harbor Island will be completely underwater by 2100. However, downtown Seattle has a 1.4 mile long sea wall, that can accomodate an 11 inch rise in water levels, but it is due for renovations Studies have suggested that a 2 foot rise in sea levels – which is projected for about 2050, would affect 56 square miles of the Washington’s coastline.
