Depends where you buy it and what brand you want. Currently, I see some sandalwood on Amazon ranging from $8 to $63. Sandalwood has always been a highly sought after item for its fragrance, however, it’s decreasing population of trees has made the prices higher in recent years. I’m guessing the differentiation prices comes from the age of the sandalwood tree when it was cut down. Producing commerically valuable sandalwood with intense fragrance oils requires trees to be at least 8 years old – however, a minimum of 14 is preferred.
