The Western black rhino was recently declared extinct, according to a review by the world’s largest conservation network, and it’s not going to stop there.  Other species of rhino are also critically endangered of becoming extinct, particularly Africa’s northern white rhino, which is said to be “teetering on the brink of extinction.” Poachers have already killed more than 200 rhinos this year, and are set to surpass the record set last year of 333 rhinos.  If poaching continues to be a dominant problem, more and more species of rhinos will become extinct.
