is regular ink made from minerals ?

    It’s not make from minerals, since minerals are defined as inorganic substances.  The black ink used in printing is made from a form of carbon called “carbon black.”  It is made by the partial combustion of petroleum products like tars and combining them with a bit of vegetable oil.
