Is the reflected sunlight off a body of water harmful for your eyes?

    This kind of reflected sunlight is certainly harmful for your skin. When your skin absorbs sunlight that has bounced off water, it also absorbs much more UVR ultraviolet radiation. This can increase one’s risk of sunburn.

    Yes, reflected sunlight, such as that off of snow, ice, or water can be especially harsh. Even the sand at the beach can reflect high amounts of sunlight which can be harmful to the eyes. That is why when people are going snow boarding they wear special sunglasses.
