recycling one pound of PP (Plastic #5) saves

Unfortunately, a lot of plastics, especially polypropylene (plastic #5), are difficut to recycle.  PP, which can be yogurt cups and butter tubs, usually end up in landfills if they are not reused.  Recently, a company called Preserve teamed up with a yogurt company called Stonyfield Farm and began creating drop-off spots for plastic #5 to help recycle these plastics as opposed to sending them to landfills.
