HOW MUCH RADIATION DOES EMIT CELLULAR PONES AND HOW DANGER IT IS
For a cell phone to be sold in the U.S. or Canada, a phone’s SAR (or specific absorption rate) has to be lower than 1.6 watts per kilogram. Europe requires the SAR to be no more than 2 watts per kilogram. This data is for voice calls only; using the Internet on your phone may increase the SAR levels.
No one really knows if cell phones are dangerous. Some studies say cell phones can cause cancer because of the radiation associated with them. Other studies refute that information and say cell phone use is safe. The best thing you can do is keep your cell phone away from your body and use a headset when you talk instead of holding the phone to your ear.
We probably won’t know how dangerous cell phones really are until we can do more long-term studies, and that may take a few years.
