I wouldn’t say it is, because it’s not an industrialized process. We have a ton of clay on the Earth, so there will always be a source for people who have pottery making hobbies. As for the firing process, it seems easy enough. However, depending how often you do it, it could be harmful. It takes a lot of heat to fire the clay. The website I looked at says their oven has white hot flames, and the temperature is around 2400 degrees farenheit.
