Depends on who you’re talking about harming! It’s generally used as lawn fertilizer, and does not seem to be harmful to the plants or the environment – unless you consider the mining process that is used to get it.
Potash does not seem to be particularly harmful, and has not been known to cause any negative effects.
Potash is found in fertilizers, soaps, glass, ceramics, chemical dyes, synthetic rubber, water softeners, and explosives. While some of these items may be harmful, it is not the potash that is the cause of the danger.
