Is petroleum bad for the ozone layer?

Is coal or Petroleum worse for the envirement and Ozone layer

    In its natural form it releases no greenhouse gases, but when combusted it releases 3 kg of carbon dioxide per kg of fuel (petroleum). This is a bit less then diesel fuel and gasoline but it is still significant.
