Is peroxide bad for our water systems?

  1. 0 Votes

The U.S. FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has found that hydrogen peroxide presents no significant risk to the environment. This is due to the fact that hydrogen peroxide is simply a water molecule with an extra hydrogen atom, and dissolves into a harmless mixture of water plus hydrogen. Peroxide is a popular green alternative to chlorine bleach used for cleaning and disinfecting.
