Is organic cotton much more expensive than non organic cotton?

The simple answer to this question is yes.

Organic cotton is more expensive to grow, harvest and produce, and that extra cost gets transfered to the consumer.

Also, many companies that produce organic cotton products are small, Mom and Pop-like companies, and can’t afford to offer the same discounts as companies that produce and buy in bulk.

However, some companies (like Wal-mart and Target) may offer organic cotton products for cheaper prices. These corporations can afford to sell “trendy” organic products for cheaper.
