In the last 50 years, ambient ocean noise levels have risen at least 12 decibels. Scientists have hypothesized that such ocean noise, especially sonar, has made it more difficult for blue whales to communicate with one another.
Have you found any info regarding whether whales are actually dying as a result of this increase in noise?
