Is Obama giving enough money to high speed rail?

The Obama administration announced the distribution of high speed rail stimulus funding in priority areas within the United States.  California was granted $2.344 billion, $1.25 billion was given to Florida’s Tampa-Orlando corridor, and $1.1 billion was granted for the Chicago, Louis-Kansas City area.  Various other corridors were granted federal funding for high speed rail, and while significant funds were distributed, there will always be more need than funds available, especially in a time of recession.
