Is nylon biodegradable?

Sort of.  Nylon takes between 30 and 40 years to biodegrade, that is quite a long time but nothing compared to the estimated 500 years for a plastic bag.  Find out more about the amount of time it takes various trash to degrade here

Nylon decays very slowly and can take many years to biodegrade. There have been methods of breaking nylon down in fire and form hazardous smoke, and toxic fumes or ash. Incinerating nylons to recover the high energy used to create them isn’t done very often because it is expensive, so they usually just go to the dumpster.
