    Awesome question!

Some examples of non-biodegradable waste are food packaging (virtually all types), cell phones, plastic shipping containers, and styrofoam peanuts.  Basically, any plastic made from petroleum.

Non-biodegradable wastes are products that do not break down, or that take a very long time to break down. These wastes include plastics, Styrofoam, metals, and glass.  Common, everyday examples include, but are not limited to, plastic grocery bags, Styrofoam peanuts and packaging materials, aluminum cans, and glass bottles.
