Is net fishing bad for the environment?

Net fishing does remove large amounts of sea life at a time; which isn’t necessarily bad as long as it is done responsibly.

Its main hazard is that it is an undiscrimatory form of hunting, and can trap and kill certain forms of sea life unintentionally, such as dolphin, turtles and species whose populations are on the decline. It can also damage underwater features, such as coral reefs.
