Golden rain trees are around 40 feet tall and are native to Asia. It blooms in the mid-late summer or early fall with bright yellow flowers. Its foliage is deciduous, which means that it may lose its leaves seasonally. The tree does best with full exposure to sunlight and it can tolerate a wide gamut of soils. Another interesting fact is that it is resistant to air pollution, which makes it suitable for urban environments. Its water requirements are average, so it should do fine as long as it’s watered regularly. “This tree is invasive in parts of the East and Midwest.”
