My Bramley has small leaves that are now turning brown
The leaves are very small and so is the fruit. Each side of the trunk are scars which are weeping a dark brown sticky “sap” The tree is on M4 stock and about 35 years.Honey fungus killed other trees 20 years ago but this one was unaffected. At end of last season 2 mature branches died back and have been removed. Shrubs around the tree are also in distress, dying back.Is it due for the chain saw and can i clear the soil of whatever is in it? Until now it has been in fine health.
