Months ago I read a blub in the Star Tribune about a curbside pickup address where a person could leave denim. I was particularly interested because they use the fibers. so I can still use the big, good parts of old jeans

Denim is a great material to recycle. In fact, recycled denim and cotton are now  being used as insulation for homes. The companies that manufacture such recycled insulation include Green Jeans Insulation and Bonded Logic. These companies will accept donated jeans and cotton. Of course, denim can be re-sewn into an assortment of handmade items including purses, bags, other clothing items, and more.
