Michelle Obama is definitely very active in various initiatives, especially with her Let’s Move campaign against childhood obesity. However, I think some other First Ladies might still qualify as more active. How about Eleanor Roosevelt, who fought for women’s rights, civil rights, and the New Deal, and drafted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights? Hillary Clinton was also very politically active as First Lady, leading a task force on Health Care reform and speaking for women’s issues.
