The “old fashioned way,” when referring to using hand tools to farm, plating crops by hand, etc. would be more eco-friendly than using current technology and techniques because it produces little to no pollution. The runoff of waste and pesticides from farms often poisons water supplies and leads to the death of marine life. Inefficient irrigation techniques can also damage topsoil. Heavy machinery such as tractors contribute to air pollution.
