The leaves of my hydrangea trees are full of small holes and turning brown. There are fly like insects flying around and I have seen brownish fly or beetle like insects on the leaves. What can I use to get rid of them?

I would like to use something that is safe for the birds and environment.

Well there are two ways that I learned from my grandmother.  One is to take dish soap and put it in a spray bottle mixed with water and cover the trees.  The other is to take hot sauce mixed with water and spray it on the trees.  These are both natural ways that won’t harm your birds.
