According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Northeast is the least populated region of the United States.
There is a place in Alaska called “Old Denali Road”” that is believed to be the least populated area. It is a road near mountains that takes a whole day to cross, so you can imagine not many people live there at all. Due to the many signs claiming mining rights there, it doesn’t even sound like there’s a government in control there.
Just to elaborate (because I thought this was a really interesting question) … Loving County, in Texas, is the least populated county in the U.S. with only 80 residents. It is the only county in the U.S. with no residents under the poverty line.
