According to Material Safety Data Sheets, Mercury has a higher health warning than does Lead. Mercury rates as a 3-4 while lead has a rate of 2. Once mercury comes into contact either through inhalation or absorption, it is deadly right away whereas lead is considered to be an accumulative toxin. This means lead poisoning will take longer to have full dangerous effects.
