You probably won’t see it flower this year. Blossoms appear in late spring (April to May), and your tree will need some time to mature in its new home. There’s a possibility that it might not blossom next year.

The same goes for fruit, since it’s the consequence of flowers. The fruit generally comes in late summer and early fall, but your tree is most likely not ready to produce fruit.

In order to stimulate growth, you should be sure to tend to your tree carefully. The links below have some tips about crabapple care, including watering and fertilizing. If you have any serious concerns, call your local arborist for a consultation.
