    No, this is false. The person who first examined and discovered cells was Robert Hooke in 1665. Then, “the idea that cells were separable into individual units was proposed by Ludolph Christian Treviranus and Johann Jacob Paul Moldenhawer.” Therefore, it takes many scientists and many years to come up with scientific theories.

    In 1839, two biologists (Theodor Schwann and Matthias Schleiden) took note of each other’s findings and concluded that both animals and plants were made up of many like units. Schleiden was discusing his research on plants when, it is rumored, Schwann recognized what he was saying as information that he was finding about animals.  The two continued their research, and eventually they “formally articulated” the cell doctrine.
