It is true that many receipts do have BPA. The BPA on receipts is different then BPA in plastic because it is not bound in polymer form. These are free molecules of BPA that are ready for absorption. It can rub off on foods and in some cases it believed that it can be absorbed through the skin into the body. This was found when the receipts were dissolved and run through a mass spectrometer.
