That depends on the original use of the foil. If you used the foil on raw meats, cleaning products, paints, any other chemicals, then you would be safer not reusing the foil. If the foil is still clean, or can be cleaned, or used on foods or materials that are not harmful if consumed, then you are safe!
You can reuse aluminum foil if you clean it first, wipe it gently with a cloth or sponge with soap and warm/hot water. Try to use it again for the same purpose it was used for originally. You can reuse aluminum foil used for covering bowls/plates/containers until it rips.
