Is it safe to dumpster dive for food outside of a grocery store?

Dumpster diving has become a popular trend around America and if you aren’t too grossed out by it, it is a fairly safe practice. When it comes to safety, be sure food you are finding is either still sealed or protected from the rest of the dumpster. Some stores will fill trash bags with produce that may not actually be bad, just a little bruised or beat up. You can also find bags of day old bread or pastries as well as many products only a day or two past expiration. It is best to stay away from any meat or dairy products as they need refrigeration. Other than that, enjoy your dumpster diving adventures!

(Be sure you are not breaking tresspassing rules as well. Most places will not care, but be safe.)
