Yes, it is possible, but it will take time, and the region may not be the same it was before. Though marine and coastal ecosystems were hard-hit, wildlife was not completely wiped out, and thus, will most likely continue to live in the region. As far as industry is concerned, people will likely be able to rebuild and recover. Fishermen are now able to access certain areas, and the government, as well as non-governmental organizations, are working to help the region.
